Our Rock of Ages family extends His love to everyone we meet. We regularly participate in the following local & international outreach & ministry programs:
Community Blessing Box Outside the front of the church you will see a Community Blessing Box. It is stocked 24/7 with food and is free to everyone in the community. In addition to food, you might also find books, hand sanitizer, & surgical masks. Take what you need and leave what you can.
Missions Trips The Rock of Ages Church is a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. As a church we feel it is important to not only support local ministries, but also to support Missionaries as they go out into the world to share the love of Christ with others. With our prayers and financial giving, we help them in their efforts to lead people into a relationship with Jesus, make disciples, and spread the Gospel. See photos from some of our missionary trips in the Gallery.
Lower Valley Community Food Bank Each month the food bank suggests a different item in need to be collected. We as a congregation bring in the items needed and place them in the bin under the coat rack near the entrance to the Sanctuary. This community help is one way we can share our love with our neighbors while meeting a few of their physical needs. 2022 Monthly Donation Suggestion January - Tuna/Chicken February - Soup/Stew March - Pasta/Side Dish April - Cake Mix/Icing May - Side Dish June - Pasta July - Peanut Butter/Jelly August - Soup/Stew September - Side Dish October - Stuffing/Gravy November - Crackers December - Kleenex
Angel Tree Ministries Angel Tree Ministries is a program that connects parents in prison with their children through the delivery of a Christmas gift and the Gospel. Members of our congregation volunteer to purchase and/or deliver a gift on behalf of the incarcerated parent. This is a way to recognize and care for some of the most overlooked members of our community.
Try Life Center Baby Bottle Campaign Try Life Center is a faith-based, life-affirming, pregnancy and family resource center dedicated to promoting the life of the unborn child, and the physical well-being of their parents and families, through confidential counseling, education, and material support. Congregants wishing to participate receive a baby bottle to collect donations. We recently participated in Try Life's 5th Annual Walking for Babies event to raise money for the Center. You can see photos in the Gallery.
Prayer Shawl Ministry The prayer shawls are meant to be a reflection of God's care and love. While making the prayer shawls, the volunteers pray that the recipient will be blessed as they are wrapped in the security of God's love, and that they will be comforted as they face difficult times. The prayer shawls are given freely to those in need and can be found in the front of the church on the altar.
